POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION TITLE:  Assistant Athletic Coach

 

REPORTS TO:  The Head Coach in conjunction with the Athletic Director and Principal

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  One-year limited supplemental contract

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pupil's Activity Permit from The Ohio Department of Education.
• Previous coaching experience in sport assigned is desired.
• Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport.

JOB GOAL:

1. To carry out the goals and objectives of the sport program as outlined by the Head Coach.
2. To instruct athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.

As a coach at Canal Winchester Schools, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing student-athletes in your designated sport. Your duties will include planning and conducting practice sessions, promoting teamwork, fostering a positive and inclusive environment, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. You will work closely with other coaching staff, school administration, and parents to support student-athletes' growth both on and off the field. Strong leadership, communication, and a passion for athletics are essential for success in this role.
